Why I Wrote How 2 Sell Your Timeshare
For over 10 years, I have commiserated with timeshare owners as they told me about the huge sums of money they paid out to an average of 3 Listing Agencies to sell their timeshares – all without results. Then one day, I finally had had enough. This book is an effort to tell timeshare owners just what they need to know to sell their timeshare -- and how to successfully make it through the timeshare maze without being ripped off.
Typically, here is what happens to the timeshare seller:
To begin, they have little information or experience in selling a timeshare. So the first thing they do is Google something like "timeshare sales." This will lead them to one of hundreds of websites that will gladly take their money -- with the sales people on the other end simultaneously telling them whatever they wish to hear about selling their timeshare and the price they can get. At this point, most owners continue to believe what they were told when they first purchased, that their timeshare would go up in value or, at the least, retain the same value. With that in mind, the Listing Agencies will supply a quote for the full price -- and then after lots more hype, slick agents will talk owners into forking over their credit card to pay the listing fee which is usually $600 to $1,000+.
Unfortunately, this listing fee is really all they are after. The primary goal is to secure your money, not to sell your timeshare. You have probably heard of Bernie Madoff and his self-confessed $50 billion rip off? Well the scope of this rip off is also in the billions. However, the scope of my How 2 Sell Your Timeshare eBook is to save timeshare owners from wasting billions themselves – which is what happens each year. I promise you won't get ripped off if you read this book. You will save time and lots of money!
In addition, we have discovered a few little known "secrets" to selling or discarding your timeshare. If your unit has no market value and is unsalable, did you know that there is a federally sponsored company that will almost certainly and legally assume any paid, deeded timeshare, regardless of value? And if you've been ripped off by upfront sales fees, there is another legitimate company that will fight to get 80% + of your upfront listing fee returned to you -- and you don't pay them a dime until you have received your refund!
Today, America suffers immeasurably because people are greedy or unwilling to do the right thing morally -- and the Timeshare Industry is no exception.
We hope this book will answer all the questions you have about selling, discarding or dealing with financial issues concerning your timeshare.
